SoftWave Tissue Regeneration
Ballas Chiropractic is excited to offer SoftWave Tissue Regeneration Technologies to our patients who suffer from acute and chronic injuries. With better physics, design, and outcomes, it’s a game-changing technology for anyone experiencing pain from acute or chronic injuries.
SoftWave enables maximum tissue penetration, unlocking the full potential of biological effects for unparalleled healing. It’s an alternative to injection, surgery or medicine, helping trigger your body to heal so you can get back to living pain-free.
How Does the Therapy Work?
SoftWave triggers a cellular response that activates the body’s natural healing process.
Patients will benefit from:
- Increased blood supply
- Modulated inflammation
- Stimulated and activated cellular repair
- Remodeled and regenerated tissue
- Accelerated wound healing
- Initiated antibacterial effect
- Reduced acute and chronic pain
The SoftWave technology promotes highly advanced tissue regeneration. At our practice, it’s used most often for soft tissue injuries or musculoskeletal injuries, such as injuries in the shoulders, wrists, elbows, knees, and feet, for low back pain, neck pain and stiffness, and for chronic osteoarthritis, post-surgical rehab, and scar tissue reduction.
The Science Behind It
The technology combines water and sound, creating a sound wave almost supersonic in frequency. When the reflector applicator is applied to the treatment area, it sends a low-intensity shock wave deep down to that tissue. This fools the body into thinking there’s been a new injury.
When that happens, the body starts to release stem cells in that area called resident stem cells. Those cells start to work on tissue rejuvenation and regeneration actively. It decreases inflammation, it vastly increases blood flow to the area, and it reduces recovery time.
What Treatment Plans Look Like
Each patient who wants to reap the benefits of SoftWave therapy is first put through a trial session, which is $75. Before committing to a complete plan, this trial helps our team evaluate your condition and whether this therapy will benefit you.
As we treat the area, we’re looking to find areas of discomfort, and we are looking for a change post-treatment in pain level or range of motion. For instance, if you have shoulder pain and struggle with range of motion, and it moderately improves after our trial session, we know you’ll be a good candidate for further treatment.
Individualized Approach to Pain Relief
Once we know SoftWave is a good fit for you, we’ll design an individualized treatment plan for you and your injuries. The treatments are typically 5 to 15 minutes per session, spread over a few weeks. The frequency of treatments will lessen as your healing progresses. Your body will continue to repair and regenerate after your plan is completed.
Who Can Benefit?
For patients who have experienced injuries like ACL tears or have undergone hip replacements and ACL repairs, this technology can accelerate their recovery and make it more effective. For those who love to remain active, like playing golf, pickleball, and weekend basketball, SoftWave offers a solution for the pain of old injuries and new ones.
This means you can return to the court or the course more quickly and continue enjoying your hobbies without pain!
There are only two restrictions to this technology; it’s not for use for children under the age of 16 and for those patients who have an active cancer diagnosis.
